Keogh Bay Consulting recently completed the development of workshop materials and content for two business workshops that will form part of Stage II of the Government’s Regional Buy Local Initiative. The workshops were developed for the Western Australian Small Business Development Corporation and were as follows:
Workshop 1 – Tendering, Contracting and Prequalification
This workshop is aimed at increasing awareness around tendering, contracting and prequalification processes among small businesses looking for lower level contracts with government and private sector project proponents. The workshop will assist in explaining these processes in general terms and challenge common misconceptions and perceived barriers to tendering for this type of work.
Workshop 2 – Developing your Business Management Skills
This workshop focuses on how the personal development of business owners can also benefit the business itself. The workshop will assist business owners’ address the following areas:
- Identifying strengths and delegating (both internally and externally) areas where a skill gap exists;
- Time management and efficiency;
- Streamlining day to day business processes;
- Utilising technology to your advantage;
- How mentoring can improve business activities; and
- The importance of investing in personal development for business improvement.
These workshops are further evidence of Keogh Bay Consulting’s strong track record in the delivery of business support services to small and medium sized businesses across Western Australia and beyond. In particular, it highlights KBC’s experience in supporting businesses in successfully achieving contractor prequalification.
It is our understanding that these workshops will be rolled out to small businesses in regional Western Australia in the coming months.
